PlayStation Move is Sony's new motion controller for the PlayStation 3 console. Offering a motion-based, high-definition gaming experience, Move is complemented by a PlayStation Move sub-controller to be used along with the motion controller for intuitive navigation of in-game characters and objects.

The PlayStation Move platform constitutes the motion controller itself, the sub-controller, and a PlayStation Eye camera. The combination of the PS3 system and PlayStation Eye camera detects the precise movement, angle, and absolute position in 3D space of the PlayStation Move motion controller, allowing users to intuitively play the game as if they themselves are within the game.

PlayStation Move motion controller delivers pinpoint accuracy through its advanced motion sensors, including a three-axis gyroscope, a three-axis accelerometer and a terrestrial magnetic field sensor, as well as a color-changing sphere that is tracked by the PlayStation Eye camera. Through the PlayStation Move system, both fast and subtle motion can be detected whether the user is swinging a tennis racket, or painting with a brush. With the PlayStation Move motion controller, users can provide direct input through action buttons and an analog trigger while receiving physical feedback from rumble functionality and visual feedback from the sphere’s ability to display a variety of different colors. Furthermore, PlayStation Eye camera can capture the player’s voice or image, enabling augmented reality experiences.

The PlayStation Move sub-controller is a one-handed controller, developed to further expand the game play options that PlayStation Move games can offer. PlayStation Move sub-controller features a sleek curved design that pairs with the motion controller and comes with an analog stick and directional buttons that allow users to easily control the game when moving characters or choosing a direction.

Like all other Wireless Controllers for the PS3 system, it comes with a built in lithium-ion rechargeable battery as well as Bluetooth technology, enabling the controller to transfer the input information wirelessly to the PS3 system without a cable. The PlayStation Move motion controller and sub-controller broaden the gaming experience on the PS3 system for all genres, from games that use one motion controller to games that use both controllers.

Divertido y solo

Este periferico es genial como complemento a la PS3 y dispone de muchos titulos para ser usado pero permitanme una pregunta... los señores de Sony ¿no piensan packetizarlo? Creo que seria más facil de vender acompañado de algun juego tipo Singstar o Raquet Sports. De momento solo tengo uno y quedo a la espera de que mi idea llegue a buen puerto. Un saludo.

PlayStationMove

Se trata del nuevo mando con el que Sony quiere darle un giro a su consola de sobremesa, la PlayStation 3, y ampliar su experiencia de juego. Si la sensibilidad del mando es como lo muestran ser, creo que incluso puede tener mas exito que Wii, y en consecuencia Nintendo perder mucho dinero y quedarse muy por debajo en la lista de exitos de ventas. Creo que la experiencia es mayor jugando en PS3, con una calidad técnica y gráfica muy superior a la de Wii. Pero lo bueno que tiene Wii son sus juegos exlusivos como Supermario, Don King Kong, Zelda. Que es lo que, en mi opinión, le salva a Wii. El precio me parece razonable comparandolo con Kinect de Xbox360 que ronda los 150€, siendo los dos productos mas novedosos y mas ruidosos del mercado gamer.
