The northern lands - that is the Nordling Realms, described by Andrzej Sapkowski in his novels and short stories, are threatened by unspeakable doom. According to the prophecy of Ithilinne, an elven seeres, the world will be destroyed during the Time of White Cold and White Light - frost, snow and a glacier that will cover the lands from the north.
A cruel and bloody war with the southern empire of Nilfgaard and the elves has recenly ended, but left the northern lands ravished and destroyed. The reign of quarrelling and short-sighted kings is falling. Amongst the chaos and confusion, a new bastion of peace rises - The Order of the Burning Rose. The monk-knights promise to bring peace and prosperity, and unite all the Nordling realms. The knights claim that the coming frost may only be defeated by the power of fire, which they worship. However the ones to survive the cataclysm are generally the pure-blooded Nordlings. The Order is getting more and more powerful. It has been given lands in the kingdom of Aedrin and fights there against the elves from the Valley of the Flowers. The monks want to win favors of the monarchs from the twelve northern realms, and strive to acquire the wastelands inhabited by elves.
Features:
- Three plotlines will interweave to form a compelling plot.
- Multi-layered storyline will feature interrogation about the witchers' mutation formulas, an epic conflict of powers and the hero's personal struggle to regain his own identity.
- Players will build their character by developing more than 250 different special abilities.
- The game will contain over 2,000 pages of absorbing dialogue (the quantity might change in the course of game development).
- Over 100 intriguing, main-storyline quests will be enriched by at least a hundred side quests.
- The storyline will be divided into six chapters, each divided into two or more episodes. Each of them will comprise an autonomic part of the story and each will reveal certain secrets concerning the main character's identity.
- Geralt will employ six distinct combat modes, comprised of three styles (strong, swift and group) for two different types of swords (steel and silver)
- 15 general traits will be developed during the game: four attributes, six fighting styles and five magical powers.
- The Witcher is a sword master. To fight effectively he will use two blades: a silver sword that is most effective against monsters, and a steel one, most effective against humans.

Este juego es increíblemente aditivo y aún teniendo sus años los graficos que tiene te dejan flipando además de estar totalmente en castellano el precio que tiene lo hace más imprescindible.

La saga de Geralt de Rivia con todo lujo
Estamos ante uno de los mejores juegos de rol de los ultimos años, y me refiero a esto sobre todo por el poder de decision que tienes en el. El argumento no es para nada lineal, y como siempre ocurre en las novelas del personaje, constantemente tendremos que elegir entre determinadas opciones (ninguna buena del todo, ni ninguna mala) para ir avanzando en una compleja y larga historia. En cuanto a la jugabilidad, el sistema de combos hace que el juego no se limite a ser un continuo machaque del raton, sino que hay que aprender a dominar la esgrima para poder ser competente. Por este precio, una compra obligada.

El juego esta muy bien. Aunque el juego ya tiene unos años tanto la historia los gráficos están muy trabajados. Tanto que, según mi opinión, el juego podría pasar como actual aunque no lo sea. Se agradece muchísimo que para jugar no necesites tener el CD insertado en la unidad. Yo tengo Windows 7 64 bits y la verdad es que funciona perfectamente y de forma muy estable. La cuestión está en tener actualizados los controladores de la tarjeta de vídeo y los Direct X.

Un juego brutal, pese a ser del 2007 necesitas una buena máquina para jugarlo. Si te gustan los rpg, no lo dudes. Divertido, entretenido, largo y encima crea adicción. Un 10. Muy recomendable.

Uno de los mejores juegos de rol
Es una maravilla y no me canso de jugarlo. Me he pillao esta edición, aunque tenga la coleccionista para no estar con parches, que son un buen puñao. Y logicamente tambien por la guía. Una compra obligada para todos los amantes de los buenos juegos de rol. A mi en windows 7 me va de lujo, no se me cuelga ni na.

Vale la pena
La verdad es que por este precio y encima completamente en español, tanto voces como textos, vale la pena. Encima viene con dos dvds, el del juego y el de extras y dos libritos uno que es el propio manual del juego y otro que es la guía del mismo (ambos libritos en inglés eso sí, pero se agradece un montón). La única pega que tiene el juego es que no va bien en Windows 7, se cuelga en altas resoluciones aunque cuentes con hardware de sobra para mover el Crysis a 1920x1080 con calidad alta como es mi caso y encima utilizando 3D Vision que chupa más recursos y aún así el Crysis lo mueve muy bien y este juego también pero al rato se cuelga. No es problema del juego, ni de Zavvi, ni del hardware, simplemente es que es bastante incompatible con Windows 7. Usuarios de XP y Vista me han dicho que les va sin problemas. En bajas resoluciones de momento me va en Windows 7, pero hay gente que utiliza Windows 7 que afirma no dejarle ni siquiera instalarlo. Un saludo.
