An axe and a maniac is a match made in heaven...or hell! When Jack Torrance becomes a crazed maniac after a ghostly encounter, he wants a weapon to match his act. Only a good ol' fashioned axe will do.

Jack Torrance moves into the Overlook Hotel with his wife and son, as a winter caretaker. The isolated hotel takes it's toll on the family with Jack's son Danny having psychiatric issues, leading to Jack becoming an homicidal, axe-wielding maniac who goes all out to terrorise his own family. "Here's Johnny"! An iconic quote from an icon movie, Stanley Kubrick's 1980 psychological horror was only one of his last nine films to not be nominated for an Academy Award or a Golden Globe, instead it was nominated for a Razzie (awards for the worst film)!. The film gained more of a cult following in the later years after it's release as audience members noticed different aspects of the movie that complimented the plot, like the feeling of enclosure from the hotel walls!
